1. She wrote an informative text about her life, "how it feels to be me", to examine a topic and convey ideas clearly for the readers 2. She wrote a good narrative to develop real experiences using effective techniques such as descriptive details 3. She was able to produce clear and coherent writing to develop and organize her writing for an appropriate task/ audience 4. She demonstrated conventions of standard English grammar when writing, using the correct verb tense 5. This student also demonstrated her knowledge of punctuation, using periods and commas correctly. She also spelled grade-appropriate words correctly
One of the things that I would work on next after seeing my student's knowledge of punctuation and grammar, is the format of sentences. Specifically, how sentences should not begin with 'and' and 'because'. Also, for the most part, she capitalized correctly, but there were a few errors.
